Sadanand Mahavidyalaya' is situtated in a village called Chheolaha on the Kara Mughal Road. It is 30 Kilometers away from Fatehpur, the district headquarter. The college started in the profound memory of shri Sadanand Gupta in 1973. Shri Krishna Dutt Mishra alias 'Babaji' has played a pivotal role in the commencement of this college. The college provides invariably valuable opportunities of higher education to the students of a large rural coningent. During the earlier years the college was granted permission to start graduation courses (leading to B.A. degree) in six disciplines. The college was granted permanent affiliation from 01 July 1985. Recognition for starting B.Ed. programme to the college was given in 1976. The NCTE recognized teacher education programme (B.Ed.) of the college vide its letter number -NRC/NCTE/F-3/13/1352, dated 1st June, 1998. The Governor of Uttar Pradesh has granted permanent affiliation to the department in 2002 vide letter number E.S./1369/G.S., dated 12 July, 2002. For more than two and half decades the college remained the only institution in the district of Fatehpur to have B.Ed. programme. Affiliated with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur (Formerly Kanpur University, Kanpur) the college runs under the grant -in-aid system of the Uttar Pradesh Government.
